Thursday topped out at 75° at MSP with a low of 49° and no rain at all. Friday picks up right where it left off.
Overnight is mostly clear with a low around 56° and a light southeast wind around 5 mph, so the morning walk to class is about as easy as October gets. The day turns partly sunny with a high near 74° and a south-southeast wind of 5 to 15 mph.
The catch comes after 3pm, when there's a 30% chance of rain showers. The odds favor staying dry, but if you'll be catching the Green Line or waiting at a bus stop in the late afternoon, a compact umbrella is worth the space in your backpack.
Friday night stays mild: mostly cloudy, a low around 62° and a south-southeast wind around 15 mph. Outdoor evening plans look workable as long as you keep that shower chance in mind.
Saturday looks similar at first, with a high near 75° that falls to around 68° in the afternoon and a 40% chance of showers after 3pm. Then the bottom drops out. Saturday night falls to around 47°, and Sunday only reaches about 57°. Enjoy Friday while it lasts.
