Minnesota men's basketball has a new home-and-home on the books. The Gophers and Cincinnati have agreed to a two-game series, with the Bearcats hosting Minnesota on Nov. 9, 2026, according to Gopher Sports. Time and broadcast information for that game will be announced later.
Cincinnati is then scheduled to make the return trip to Williams Arena during the 2027-28 campaign, though a specific date for that game hasn't been set.
The two programs don't have much recent history to draw on. Per Gopher Sports, the Gophers and Bearcats have met just five times, excluding vacated games, and the November matchup will be their first meeting since 2006. Minnesota holds a 2-3 record in the series dating back to 1983, and next year's game at Cincinnati will mark just the fourth time the Gophers have played this series away from the Barn.

It's a modest addition to the non-conference slate, but it's the kind of matchup that gives Gophers fans a road trip to circle for next season and a return date at Williams Arena to look forward to the year after. No further details on scheduling, tip time or TV have been released yet.
